Treasurer's Report by Greg Leitner
The August •eeting was pretty quiet but relaxing. It was nice to have the time to just talk to other Me~bexs. Now that Suamer is almost over, I think the attendance at the future Meetings will pick up. I noticed that we only get one to two membership renewals each month. With a meMbership base 0£ over 40 current Members we should be getting an average 0£ about £our renewals monthly. I hope you all realize that the club really needs this support 0£ dues to keep the club strong £inancially. Doa sales are important but it takes More than that to cover our ·monthly expenses. I read in the current HAST newsletter that they are moving next months meeting to Farmington because they can get £ree space and they are having a hard time covering the ~onthly cost 0£ the Community Center in Falcon Heights. We still are £inancially sound with a balance 0£ $649.62 £or the period ending 8/20/93, so I don't £orsee us having the problems £acing MAST £or soae time to come. I just want to let you all know that most months the expenses exceed our income and we can only survive so long this way. Well, enough 0£ the gloom. Let's see how we did £or August 1993. The club paid out expenses £or the BBS phone bill and the August Newsletter. Aleo we made a small purchase 0£ so£tware £or £uture ra££le prizes. We had one membership renewal and sold some dome and blank disks. The £inal tally is that we increased our bank blance by S25.90 £or the month 0£ August. It has been a rare occurance £or us to exceed expenses this year so I congratulate you on your support 0£ the club through your purchase 0£ dome and I hope you continue to do so at the upcoming meetings this Fall.

Mike Weist Recording Secretary Amateur show -93 The 1993 Amateur show was h eld at Aldrich Arena in Maplewood, Mn. The show was held on July 16th and 17th. Mike Schmidt, Tom Stellach, and Mike Weist manned the Space club booth at the show. We were visited by several Space club members and peo2le interested in our club . Alots of . people had questions about membership and equipment. Like every year, there are bargins at the show . I found some Ata ri programs and some computer paper for my printer and other things. The show this year was not as big as in other years. This is because I think poor advertisement of the event, the weather wasn-t the best , the roads look~d like a battle zone, and there were a lots of other events at the same time. For those that were there, I think they had a fun time .Ne x t e l ectro nics show is sche~uled for October - 93 at the St. Paul Civic Center . It will be the a nnu al Hamfest .

Asked for s uggestions for Mike W2 i s t ?ro t ecting Atari Equipment .
