SPACE Christmas party this month, join your Atari friends and celebrate the season and celebrate your history with Atari!! What new Atari gear will Santa bring to your household this year??

Only four members were present for the November SPACE meeting so we did not have a quorum to run our annual election. I know all our current officers and our chairmen will serve another year.

I just noticed that Google’s indexing of our recently re-scanned library of SPACE Newsletters has suddenly picked up the pace considerably.

With the members present I wanted to set the menu for our December Christmas party. I was hoping to we could get the Smithfield ribs that Jackie and I had just bought a few days before. They were the best ribs we had ever eaten, but even though we went to the store right after our meeting they ere sold out.

After indexing only 30-40 pages on our site for months, in the last month that has jumped up to 170. There are still about 290 pages/newsletter issues not indexed so far, but that’s some real progress. Cool! And recent website visits have picked up as well, surely related. Thanks, keep using that Atari, and come to your next SPACE meeting and PARTY: Friday, December 9, 2022.

It was a manager special for $9.99, a $20.00 savings per package. So now we have to watch for another deal or come up with another idea. Famous Dave’s was another suggestion. Either way, the Club will pick up the tab for the main course. Glen will bring his usual root beer floats and anyone else who comes should bring a dish to share. There will not be an auction next month as we have no idea who will be able to make it and I want more members to come so we can actually have a real auction. We need a good turnout for our Christmas party. Please try to make it so we can have a decent number of members just like we had before COVID! See you all on December 9th.

HELLO WORLD! Just wanted to let everybody know that I cannot make it to the SPACE Christmas Party. I have been sick with an upper respiratory infection since December 1st, and due to COVID restrictions I have to stay away until it abates. Ever since my parents passed away, though, I have been getting to the Cities more often. I will stop by soon, eventually, but it is a matter of when. Besides, you would not want this stuff. It gets pretty complicated, let’s say. Even though I got this about six days ago, I do feel much better already. So, I will take a wait-and-see approach on this. In the meantime, since I have to clear up my family’s affairs, I shall be in Saint Paul more. Eventually, I will get to the meetings. I have to pick up DOMs and pay up on my membership dues anyway. So, that is my life in a nutshell, at the moment. I especially want to go to the next SPACE Auction. I love the Auctions because they are good places to get Atari items you can’t get anywhere else. That is a motivator for me, too. This concludes the Secretary’s Report. In the words of the late, great Stan Lee... EXCELSIOR! TRIVIA TIME! Thanks for reading. SPECIAL SPACE CHRISTMAS ARTICLE By Steve Peck Well, here we are with another Christmas upon us. I am excited always for the Holidays coming along. Receiving presents and being with family always make me happy. The food is also pretty good. It makes me smile at times. As I sit here, I am thinking about how this Christmas is going to transpire. I wish for a Merry Christmas, of course, but there have been our share of negative things happening as well. This is a time to think of peace and happiness, giving and caring. Of course, it would be nice to see this happen all of the year long. If only people would treat every day like the Holidays. I think it would a better world if we all did. But, anyway, I am not going to delve too far in that. I am hoping that we get something good from this year’s holidays. I hope it is a good time for everybody. I think we need something like that. Also, I hope we have fun this season. I am glad we can have times like these to get together and have fun, eat, drink, and proverbially be merry. I enjoy company as much as anybody. It’s always good to talk, share memories, and develop closer ties with our families. My wish is this. I wish to enjoy my holidays and get the best out of them, whatever that may be. I think a lot of us at SPACE share this wish I have. So, with that, have a Happy Holiday, a blessed day, and I hope you have good fortune. Happy New Year as well in 2023.
